Expert Lisp AI Programmer, New York

We are looking for a spiritually grounded hands-on senior lisp
programmer to help us complete an innovative business solution being
built on core human principles. The candidate will have significant
in-depth experience of AI programming specifically; Agents, Expert
Systems, Bayesian/Neural Networks, Relevance Feedback, etc. An advanced
degree is preferred; however consideration will also be given to persons
of outstanding experience and background.

Teleonto has made a major commitment to the use of Lisp and functional programming.  Our versatile ApT platform is a service-oriented architectural workflow framework written in Common Lisp, and makes use of high-performance, dynamic, object caching database technology.  We are extending our range to include ontology  definition using RDF triples.

We are always interested in candidates who have experience with functional programming, particularly with Lisp, but also with other functional languages such as Scheme or Smalltalk.  We are particularly interested in candidates who have delivered products written in Lisp.  Experience with data mining or with applied artificial intelligence techniques is a plus.  We have openings at all levels of experience.

Responsibilities:
* Manage quantitative and qualitative Consumer Research through all phases of the research cycle from problem definition to planning, fielding, analysis and recommendations
* Establish research processes and integrate into product development lifecycle
* Identify and apply emerging consumer research techniques to new product development and commercialized products
* Champion consumer interests and end-user needs from upstream brainstorming through development and commercial launch
* Work with Product and Technology teams to establish and track quantitative user experience metrics

Requirements:

* In-depth understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

Powerset is a well-funded San Francisco based start-up developing a next generation search product based on natural language technologies.  This is a very rich user experience and design challenge in which graphic and UI design will play a critical role.  The Graphic/UI Designer will be a key member of The Product Team working very closely with consumer research, product management and prototype development.

Responsibilities:

* Lead visual design development for web product concepts from wireframe to mock-up to prototype to production
* Work closely with UI designers and front-end developers through design iteration and prototype implementation
* Design web applications and tools from icons to discrete features to whole product concepts

Activities will transition to focus on product specification, implementation, QA and launch.

* Collaborate on product and feature brainstorms, concept development, prototype specification, implementation and testing
* Help develop schedules, MRDs, PRDs and Functional Specifications

* Help develop, maintain and drive product schedules
