Apply to: Monica.Britton@fmr.com Senior Software Engineer Developer - 1102958 Description Fidelity Pricing & Cash Management Services (FPCMS) is seeking a skilled QuickSilver/LISP software engineer within the Fund Administration Systems and Solutions Delivery team.  This team is responsible for the requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, implementation and transition of software solutions for the Fund Administration business units.  The specific customer supported is responsible for the publishing of fund prospectuses and financial statements using the powerful, state of the art publishing tool, QuickSilver. FPCMS provides accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity mutual funds and other investment vehicles, as well as to many Fidelity business partners. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity. Primary responsibilities: Architect & software developer leading the design, development and implementation of software enhancements in support of the Legal Products Group user community Reverse engineer existing functionality to document and propose enhancements including, but not limited to, redesign & re-platforming. Being the expert in QuickSilver use and/or LISP development. Creating plans, policy and procedures for QuickSilver/LISP development. Providing on-demand production support. Providing project estimates and working with business to develop requirements and solutions. Creating and presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications Education and Experience: 6 years software development experience. 2 + years of architect experience. 4+ years hands-on experience with QuickSilver and/or LISP Technical experience in some or all of the following would be preferred:  Java, Perl, Unix shell scripting, JSP, Windows batch scripting, C/C++ Experience working with an industry-standard software development methodology Skills and Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal skills in English A “can-do” attitude Initiative to proactively identify and solve problems About Fidelity Investments Fidelity Investments is one of the world’s largest providers of financial services.
